Yippee!!

Itz once again tat part of the year, where the first day of a month is awaited so eagerly!

Yes, itz New Year’s time and we bid goodbye to the year, tat’ll soon pass by! So, this is the right occasion to take a jig at the year tat was (or may be wasn’t).

Don worry, I won’t keep u bugging 4 too long, so u won’t’ve to run to find the small ‘X’ on the top right portion :)  So, with all might, letz get to the task!!

  • January ‘08:
    •  1st:  Not a great time to start ur New Year! (At least for vtu students, just lik me). With a critical exam scheduled on the 2nd of Jan, it was quite obvious to have a low key celebration
    • 7th:  At snail pace though, we finally,are done with our 5th semester exams n hooray itz a month’s long vacation!!
    • 26th: A pack of crazy guys me and 2 of my cousins decided to leave for a holiday n guess wat, to a town which is better known as the “gateway to the glory of Karnataka”. Yep!! Talkin about Shimoga (or shivamogga or wat ever). From there on, we visit a nearby village or anything at all tat ppl wud lik to call it! Tell u I cud smell the virgin air, something tat now is just a mid summer night’s dream in an urban jungle lik wat Bangalore is.
      from Fresh River water to rows of arecanut… enthralling countryside!!
      from sunset amidst the western ghats to the fresh river waters to groves of arecanut!!! enthralling countryside!!!

      Tatz it for January folks!!!

·         February ’08:

o    4th: It was the day when we were supposed to hit back to our routine! (sleepin in the class stuff)! But wait a sec, the college notice board had something in store for us. There was a campus event scheduled within 4 days from then. It was a company as huge as SISL(Siemens India…. I don’t know what “SL” stands for :P ). well there was a buzz in the campus as to wat the apti paper wud be lik. Some said a photocopy of RS Aggarwal, while some denied it sayin they weren’t nuts, not to be technical in their written round! What ever it was, we cud get to see it only on the day.

o    8th: It was the D-Day! Guys lookin at their handsome best in formal attire n gals keepin themselves to wat they looked the best in!  without prolonging anymore, the test papers were handed out n all everyone else cud see was the ”dude we got ****” expressions on the other person’s face! It had 2 parts general apti and technical(syllabus for the cs/is ppl, jargons for ec ppl). Most of us were totally pissed off except for the 4 who got thru all the rounds!Congrats to them!

o    12th: After the disastrous Friday on 8th, it was an other day of interviews. This time round with less competition. The word in the air was, the company visitin today (apparently KEANE India (I didn’t wanna name it)) isn’t in the best of itz health! So, most of them dropped out. Ah! Here was the chance for me to strike gold! Not for the sake of placements, but there was a better idea racing around in my mind! If I get myself placed in any company before the 20th of Feb, then I would be onboard a family vacation to the ANDAMAN ISLES. This was my dad’s promise! Well things took a “U” turn when I had to face my round of interviews. It was as good as I spit on the interviewer’s face (best left un-attended). Consequences, I wasn’t onboard!

o    22nd: this was an other chance of me makin to the vacation. Though rest of them had left on 20th itself, I had a chance to join them en route! Yeah, another interview and this time a tougher competition, the company being a well reputed CTS. All I wish to say is, I cud’n make it in the interviews this time either n plz don’t remind me of this day anymore!

o    27th: With a few more written tests in between, all I thought was this is just an other day as there were around 300 people waiting for the tests and the company being INFOSYS! As usual ;) I thought I had done well in my written round. And not amazingly, I was one of the 8 people, (out of 300) to proceed to the next round, my heart favorite… THE INTERVIEW round! Having a dubious record of my past interviews, would I choke this time round? Naah, it was my day n nobody dared stopping me! Yes, I had finally made it!(but… Alas! I cudn’t make it to the vacation)

This brings us to the end of my roller-coaster month of the year!!

Guys, now that there’s so much input, my bum s reeli hurtin (itz been ages since I last stuck it to a chair for so long)!!!

So, keep lookin forward to rest of “the best of 2008”, n let my bum relax as well :P

Land Of Various Emotions!{LOVE}

•September 23, 2008 • 2 Comments

Q: If ur lover betrayed u, what will ur reaction be?
A: Just the way how acid reacts with water(LOL)
jokes apart..
well,i obviously won’t burst into tears, but still try n make her feel my worth, make her understand how     life is, after u betray someone so true!! ;)

Q: If u can have a dream 2 come true, what would it be?
A: RIP!!!
in tat special someone’s arms, hoping tat there was no end to the road of life, where
i crashed into “THE REAL LIFE”!!

Q: Will u fall in love with ur best friend?
A: A straight forward NO!!(Reasons, not asked for)

Q: Which is blessed, loving some1 or being loved by some1?
A: Mathematically, it doesn’t matter, if 2+2=4 or 2*2=4..
so, they are just two aspects of the blessed eternity!!!

Q: How long do u intend to wait for some1 u really love?
A: Practically speaking, till the time only either of us survive.

Q: If the person u secretly like/love is already committed, what wud u do?

A: Just hope tat she is single again, 4 me to be with her.

I’m a rational person more than an emotional being  :P . well I’d rather express my feelings, even before she gets committed!!

Q: If u lik to act with someone, who will it be? Your GF or an Actress?
A: Well.. indian cinema has a pre interval “washed away flashback” of the actor, where he’s married to his true love n post interval, he finds a suitable replacement..
now in my case, it wud just b the converse of it.. (enjoy the first part with my REEL love, which incidentally is Ms. KATRINA n the latter half wid my real love)

Q: What do u expect of ur loved one?
A: Love, Love n more of love, with some healthy arguements n differences..
(the last two are the salt and pepper of the dish!!)

Q: What’s ur fear?
A: Only fear is tat, as they say all good things have to come to an end..
The extremity terribly scare’s me.

Q: Whatz d 1st thing you do when u wake up?
A: Snooze my alarm for 5 times n then reset it!!

Q: Would u give all in a relationship?
A: YES(1c again, explanation not asked for)

Q: If u fall in love with two people simultaneously, who would u pick?
A: I’d rather have a bowl-out, before selecting the winner(ROFL)..
but, considering it seriously.., will announce joint winners!!
“a bird in hand is worth two in the bush” was an age old saying..
refining it slightly,
why not, safeguard the bird in hand and go for the rest???

Q: Would u forgive and forget no matter how horrible a thing that special some1 has done?
A: People who hurt u the most are often the ones who love u the most!!!
(It ain’t a cell forward, but the bitter fact of life)

Q: What are the three most important expectations in love?
A: 1==> LOVE
2==> Respect 4 each other in all aspects
3==> Some tadka

Q: What kind of person do you think, the person who tagged u is?

A: SU-     A person, true to himself n almost all times to others.
A person, who knows what true love n friendship is all about.
A person, who
L1: loves to eat;
goto L1;
A person, who can keep anyone under the sky happy(in obvious diff ways).

Commercialization Magnified

Just on the verge of me thinking, i had nothing to say,
Lord Sri Krishna, as ever, comes as a saving grace!!!

On this auspicious occasion of Sri Krishna Janmaashtami, i take pride, in doing something worthwhile.
yeah, guessed rite.. my second post..
‘ve loads to mention n express..

There is one huge temple just at a stone throws distance from my place but, to pull this one lanky ass of mine out there, it just needs to be something more than a temple!!!
May be “a commercialised shopping temple”

Today being the auspicious day, i’ve been mentioning, it was just an other day @ the
office for the tiger. Came back home, partially exhausted, partly enthusiased,
abt the workshop which we had organised in our coll. Was supposed to attend 1 of my frens sis’
wedding reception {ahem.. cot up wid some spl work}, but somehow, by evening dad convinces me to
dress up myself as a scion of pride @ his fren’s party.. sob..

By the time, we finished our dinner it was around half past nine.
I tot of cruising past the “Kmee kmees”(Su, sorry 4 usin up this bit), back home n get the luxury
of orkutting on my hands!
But just lik rest of my planz goin the bin way, this 1 was heading to the dust bin.
Dad had diff plans, he asked me to take the longer route back home.
Just while i was wondering as to why, we stopped by something huge..
It was a temple!!!!

Now, bangaloreans must know a place called ISKCON…
Itz a grand temple dedicated to 1 of our most romantic gods in hindu mythology ( the post s back on track ;-) )
Lord Sri Krishna..

Even though it is quite nearer to my place, this was, about my third visit to the hill, off ages! First up, the reaction was, WOW thx to bangalore vehicular density, there’s not an inch of land available, to park my vehi. The ever busy by day calm by nite road, had a drastic change!!! Cool, this means back home? Nope.. 4m some nook of this street my dad finds a place finally, sufficient enough to park both of our vehicles.
Now that i cudn avoid entering the premises, i convinced myself that,i won’t bog myself down n hence, songs be playin on my mind so that i don feel like being on a pilgrimage ( :-O ). After all, this was the kind of temple i urged for. Ok done wid the darshan, not so crowded, even though being the birth day of the lord.. Then i realise, i wasn’t visiting the temple at noon! It was arnd 11 in the nite.
On the way towards exit, there is this lovely shopping mall kind of atmosphere, which cheered me up, as i knew, i wudn’t be going back home empty handed. I was a lucky bird. My mom spots a bright red oversized kurtha, just 4 for me.
By then, I was the”Krishna” of my home.. i was over joyed..

But all of a sudden, from no where, a thot flashes across my mind.. why are the kurthas n the house decor varities n the agriculture produce n the other food stuff being retailed at a place solely dedicated for worship? Are they marketing divinity? Are they making their pockets worthier? Or is it just right to spread their custom with all those beads n hand loomed garments n the Krishna photos n idols?

What ever, the temples nowadays haven’t they become much of a commercial place than a place of serenity n divinity. If u just happen to pass by the streets of bangalore, then do make it a point, to be accompanied by a mathematician to keep count, of the no. of temples, just in case u don’t know what follows 10^10^10!!!

The bitter fact lies in the truth that, ppl nowa days, just for the sake of saving a penny from tax,
just for the sake of a piece of land, take the most sentimental of ways, by building a temple.
Alas.. this has been the sorry figure of modern day india!!!

This post, is not to create an awareness against the religion or the sentiments.. But indeed, against the newly established wing of religion. The commercial part of it!

Let the temple just be a temple. If in any case, u want some clothing or etc. it’s the shopping mall u ‘ve to look out for, not the shopping temple!!!

Tere Liye…

let me first introduce myself in a couple of lines…

main Shaayar toh nahi….

… jabse dekha maine usko,

shaayarii aagayi;-) :-P

well jokes apart.. this is my first attempt to put my feelings thru words.. i here, present a song, apparently the first complete song which i hv written… no prizes for guessing as to who i am inspired from, to pen down a melody…

with nothing much to say, here it comes!!!

tere liye, tere liye,
yeh intezaar sanam,
tere liye, tere liye,
mera yeh janam sanam…
tu aaja mere dil ki mehfil mein
main toh soona sa hu tere bina sanam
aapke kadmon ne dil ko hain chhain diye,
meri saari adaayien hain tere liye…

|| tere liye ||

Chhup ke se aaja mere khwabon mein
tujh ko churaalein jahan se hum..
dekh ke aapko dil kehe ta hain
hosh kahi na kho de hum…
yeh aankhein hain,jo keheti hain
dekho na yu mujh ko tum….

|| tere liye ||

Jaane kya soch rahi hain ab tak
palkhon pe rakhenge tujh ko hum..
tujh ko basaane ki hi tadap mein
aankhe bhi bandh kar lenge hum
tu chaahe toh, hum de denge,
apni hi jaan sanam….

|| tere liye ||

hmmm.. finally, i’ve blogged!!! hey frens plz do let me kno hw good or bad this 1 is. Ur feedback gives room for improvement

P.S: If there r ppl who listen to kannada tunes, out there, then don’t be wondering… these lines perfectly fit into the tune n rhythm of the award winning song “Ninnindale” from the movie “Milana”.
